Half-day private tour to chantilly castle from paris

126 €

~ 5 H

Meet your guide at your hotel or private residence in central Paris, then set off on an unforgettable private journey to an exceptional location, just 50 kilometers north of Paris, the majestic Renaissance Château de Chantilly, an exceptional place shaped from the Middle Ages to the 19th century by its different owners, nestled in the midst of green forests.

Once there, after about an hour's drive, you will start your visit with the Castle and the Condé museum, the work of a man: Henri d'Orléans, Duke of Aumale, son of the last king of the French, Louis-Philippe. The name given to the museum is a tribute from the Duke of Aumale to his illustrious predecessors, the princes of Condé. The museum located in the castle houses the second largest collection of ancient paintings after the Louvre with masterpieces by French and Italian painters (Poussin, Fra Angelico, Botticelli and Raphaël) and a library well stocked with rare and precious books and manuscrits.

You will then continue with the Gardens and the large French-style flowerbed of Chantilly which offers the most astonishing views of the visit. With its 2.5 km long Grand Canal, 600 meters longer than that of Versailles, its large ponds and numerous bodies of water, the gardens of Chantilly designed by Le Nôtre at the end of the 17th century, are of all the gardens, he created (Versailles, Fontainebleau, Vaux-le-Vicomte, Les Tuileries), surely his favorites ones.

Next and before returning to Paris, you will also uncover Les Grandes Ecuries des Princes de Condé, the largest princely stables in Europe, an 18th century architectural masterpiece, located on a unique site, with the castle on one side and on the other side the Horse Race track, one of the most beautiful track in France, with Internationally renowned horse races (French Derby and French Oaks).
